On the General tab select Screen Recorder and double-click on a connection in your address book:
Alternatively, right-click on the connection icon and select Other modes → Screen Recorder from the menu:
Enter the access password and click OK:
In the Screen Recorder window click the Settings icon:
Select Enabled and set an interval by which the program should take screenshots:
Important!
The Enabled checkbox is a global 'switch' that lets you start the screenshot taking process on a given Host. The process continues according to your schedule after you close the Screen Recorder window.
To stop the screenshot-taking process connect in the Screen Recorder connection mode to the remote PC where the process is running, click the Settings icon ( ) and clear the Enabled check box.
Switch to the Schedules tab, click Add, set your schedule and make sure you selected the Active checkbox:
Important!
You must create at least one schedule and make it active if you want the screenshot taking process to run.

The Screen Recorder window has the following elements:
1. Toolbar
Settings - open the settings dialog box where you can enable/disable taking screenshots, specify a screenshot interval, etc. |

Refresh - refresh the list of local and remote container files |
Open file - open another container file |
Delete - delete a selected container file |

2. Filter
Use controls in this area to quickly filter the container files in the list below. You can narrow down the list by date, schedule name and file location.
3. Container files
A container file is a collection of screenshots in a single file with the .rrf
extension. Initially, when you enable the screenshot-taking process, this file is stored on the remote (Host) side. New screenshots are added to the file according to your schedule.
If you connect to the remote PC after a while using the Screen Recorder mode, you will see the container file (or multiple files if you enabled multiple schedules) in the Screen Recorder window. Each row in the list represents a container file with a series of screenshots.
Viewing screenshots
- Connect in the Screen Recorder connection mode to the target remote PC where the screenshot-taking process is running.
- In the Screen Recorder window select the container file you want to view and click the View file icon:

- Use the buttons at the bottom of the window to control playback. From left to right:
- First - jump to the first screenshot
- Previous - show the previous screenshot
- Play/Pause - start and pause the slideshow
- Next - show the next screenshot
- Last - jump to the last screenshot
- Stretch - fit the image into the player window
- Slider - move the slider to adjust the slideshow interval in milliseconds
Exporting screenshots
Use the File menu in the player window to save/export screenshots:
- Export current frame - save the current screenshot to the disk
- Export all frames - save all screenshots from the current file to the disk as separate graphic files
- Save as - save the entire screenshot file to the disk
- Close - close the player window
Screen Recorder options
General tab
- Enabled - select this checkbox to start the screenshot-taking process on the remote Host
- Screenshot interval - specify the interval with which the screenshots should be taken. Too short an interval (e.g., one second) is not recommended because it may increase CPU usage and screenshots may quickly fill up the available free space on the remote disc
- Protect files on the host - protect screenshot files on the remote Host from deletion
- Stamp data and time on screenshots - self-explanatory
Schedules tab
- Add and Delete - add a new schedule or delete a selected schedule respectively
- Active - when a schedule is active, it means that the screenshots are being taken on the remote PC according to this schedule
- Time interval - specify the time bounds within which the screenshots should be taken during a day
- Date interval - specify the start and end dates of the screenshot-taking process
- Weekdays - specify the weekdays on which the screenshots should be taken
